The Extra-curricular Committee works under the Pastoral Care Programme. One of its major purposes is to provide extra-curricular activities which aim at complementing and enriching the formal programmes of learning in the classroom as well as enabling students to develop their personal growth. Another purpose of the Committee is to coordinate the resources of the school so as to bring about effectiveness and efficiency in achieving the objectives of the Department.
Participation and involvement in extra curricular activities help students to feel a part of the school community and allow them to develop skills other than the purely academic. Extra curricular activities are also a source of much enjoyment, when students have represented the school, reached a particular goal or simply performed to the best of their ability. They can be a source of well-deserved pride.
Houses
Recently, we have implemented a four houses system to enhance students’ caring concept and strengthen their leadership abilities. The house system is performing a longitudinal effect to link up all forms. Through variety of inter house activities upper form and lower form students are closely connected together. They like brothers and sisters. Besides, lower form students are led and guided to experience management and organization skills. Those valuable experiences will equip them for serving our school in the future.
